Marilyn Monroe - Interview The following interview appeared in Motion Picture magazine in January 1954. It comprises questions sent in by readers to Helen Hover, who then 'quizzed' Marilyn. Hope you enjoy it! Q: Is it true you dress for men? MM: Don't most women dress for men? Isn't it true that men and women have mutual appreciation of each other? Q: Why do you wear low cut gowns? MM: I haven't really noticed. Q: What do you do in your spare time? MM: When an actress is building her career in pictures, as I am, there is very little spare time. (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.)   In the stillness of the master bedroom of his palatial mountainside home in Beverly Hills, John Gilbert, the screen's greatest lover, passed into everlasting sleep yesterday morning. He was 38 years of age. His death from heart disease closed one of the most colorful careers in the history of the film industry and threw Hollywood into mourning for he was beloved by all who knew him. Gilbert's death was painless. He died in his sleep, and 7:44 a.m. was the time given by his physician, Dr. Leo J. Madsen of Santa Monica, when his heart stopped.
